To provide a better user experience and enhanced feature support, S-Miles Cloud (WEB) and S-Miles Installer & S-Miles Enduser (APP) V3.0 underwent a momentous update on January 6, 2025. This update brings several important feature enhancements and experience optimizations, including the following:
1. S-Miles Cloud (WEB) V3.0 has officially been released. We've made significant improvements to both performance and user experience. You can access it at: https://v3.hoymiles.com/website.
2. S-Miles Installer & S-Miles Enduser (APP) have undergone a redesign of the plant homepage, with a comprehensive UI upgrade for certain interfaces (including icons, color schemes, navigation bars, and login pages).
3. The data interval for some microinverter plants has been optimized from 15 minutes to 5 minutes (Plants with built-in WiFi microinverters do not yet support this, the firmware is still under development and will support in next version ; other plants must update the DTU firmware to the latest version, with the data interval switch completing by the second day after the update).
4. The energy flow diagram on the homepage of energy storage plants now supports seconds-level data (requires the plant's device firmware to be updated to the latest version).
5. S-Miles Installer & S-Miles Enduser (APP) newly added a quick configuration and setup guide for energy storage plants, making it easier for users to set up their energy storage systems.
6. Energy storage plants now support the addition of Hoymiles charging piles.
7. The device connection password (including Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth passwords) setting rules have been adjusted. The current password length requirement is 8-63 characters, with support for certain common special characters.

Could you please confirm the list of compatible micro inverter and firmware versions to benefit from the 5 minutes update time ?
My understanding is that upgrade DTU firmware to latest version will enable the 5min sampling frequency. I have attempted twice to upgrade a DTU-PRO-S to v00.05.02 using the new installer interface (v3) but without luck. Each time the DTU appears to not get the update and never get back online requiring hard reboot and remaining in previous versions (v00.04.03). @hoymiles support not sure if it is isolated issue or a bug in new v3 installer installer platform but ill try using old version to perform the update to see if it’s make a difference.
Regarding the micro-inverter firmware level, I agree we would like to know if there is a minimum threshold of version.
Same understanding as you, although the wording is not crystal clear on to which DTU and inverters supports this update frequency. I assume all of them except the inverters with embedded wifi (for now).
For the update, it's worth trying either the old cloud interface or through mobile app. Or maybe just another browser ? Is there a local upgrade interface when we are on site and connected directly to the same wifi network as the DTU ?
No luck even with previous interface. Note: No option to perform the upgrade directly connected to the DTU. This is possible only through the website/cloud app. I have submitted a ticket.
So there is something wrong with the firmware itself probably… Are you behind proxy or using a VPN ?
I’m not. And must say I already made several updates in the past with no issues so yeah probably something wrong with firmware itself.
BTW I am noticing that the sampling frequency is now 5min in my interface even with DTU firmware v00.04.03. I didn’t noticed it until today. As per version note the sampling to 5min come couple of days after upgrade.
Thanks for the update so actually the new FW update is not necessary for the 5 minutes.
I have the DTU-Pro-S (Hardware version 09.06.01) but I'm on FW V00.02.23 and I still have the 15 min update frequency. So I have to be at least on v00.04.03 most likely.
Then I have HMS-1000-2T and HMS-500-1T micro inverters, which one do you have ?
I have the same 2 micro inverters you have + a HMS-2000-4T
As confirmed by support :
"The 5 minutes update it not tied to micro inverter firmware but DTU firmware.
All DTU Pro, Wlite and Lite will get this functionnality from V 00.04 and Upward."
I fully agree that their DTU and overall data management is subpar. 5 minutes is absolutely not up to standard. But it's the only thing we got by default. For me the choice shall be from 1 seconde to 5 minutes interval…
For better management and monitoring, there is OpenDTU or AhoyDTU, or some HomeAssistant solutions.
With OpenDTU or AhoyDTU nothing forces anyone to use Hoymiles cloud platform.
EDIT : Hoymiles allowed themselves to delete comments above and below this one, without any explanation. This is worrying… The minimum is to provide explanation and address customer concerns, instead of silently deleting and closing the post for further comments.
