1. If you are an Owner user:
Please contact your Installer or Dealer directly to perform the firmware upgrade.
2. If you are a Dealer/Installer user:
You can upgrade the DTU firmware through our S-Miles Cloud Webpage 3.0.
Steps:
- Navigate to the plant section and access the device list interface.
- Click the "Device Maintenance" button to reveal the firmware update option.
- Select your target firmware version and confirm to complete the DTU firmware update.
For Microinverter Firmware Upgrade:
Dealer/Installer accounts currently do not have permissions to upgrade microinverter firmware.
If you wish to perform microinverter firmware upgrades for your clients, contact our technical support team to request access.
Important Notes:
Duration: Microinverter firmware upgrades take significantly longer than DTU firmware upgrades and may cause temporary device offline.
Network Requirements: Stable network connectivity is critical for this process. Avoid initiating upgrades under poor network conditions.
Troubleshooting: If issues arise during the update, immediately contact our technical support team for assistance.
3. If you are a DIY user (Without Micro-storage):
You can upgrade DTU firmware via our S-Miles Cloud Webpage 3.0, following the same path as Dealer/Installer.
DIY users with WiFi-integrated microinverters have been granted microinverter firmware upgrade permissions. Please download the S-Mlies Home APP to access.
(Available on app stores in select countries.)
Note: The S-Mlies Home APP is exclusively compatible with systems featuring:
WiFi-integrated microinverter
Lite-S series DTU
Micro-storage
Communication Module & Microinverter Firmware Upgrade Steps:
- Locate the target device in the device interface.
- Click the device to enter the details page, then tap the settings icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner.
- Navigate to the firmware upgrade option in the settings menu and initiate the update.
4. If you are a Micro-storage user:
When new firmware versions become available for your micro-storage system, we will automatically notify you through the S-Miles Home APP, where you can verify and initiate one-click upgrades.
Q&A
- Q: I am a DIY user with a Pro-S series DTU. Can I use the S-Miles Home APP?
A: All DIY users can currently log in to the S-Miles Home APP. However, the APP only displays systems with WiFi-integrated microinverters, Lite-S series DTUs, or micro energy storage devices. So, your plant with Pro-S series DTU system is not visible after login, this limitation will be gradually optimized in future updates.
- Q: I am a DIY user with a Lite-S series DTU. Can I upgrade microinverter firmware by myself?
A: The DIY microinverter firmware upgrade feature currently only supports WiFi-integrated devices. Compatibility with other device types is under development. We will notify all users once this functionality is officially released.

- Q: I am an Owner user. Can I use the S-Mlies Home APP for firmware upgrades?
A: No. Owner users must exclusively use the S-Mlies Enduser App. All firmware upgrades require coordination with your authorized installer/Dealer.
